My thesis is being developed in collaboration with LNEC to create a VR application that helps visualize and analyze breakwaters. The application connects with OSOM, an existing program used by LNEC, and brings its data into an interactive 3D environment. This thesis aims to complement their existing program by allowing engineers to explore virtual models of breakwaters and their inspection data in a more intuitive way. The main goal is to test how VR can make it easier to understand and access this information, improving the inspection and maintenance of coastal structures.
